Caribbean HR Solutions is an established firm in Kingston and Montego Bay offering PEO, BPO staffing and payroll outsourcing for Jamaica. It does not publish prices and works through discovery calls, which is normal for staffing and PEO firms whose price depends on role mix, volume and services.
Deel and Remote are global EOR platforms with published list pricing, self-serve onboarding and coverage in many countries.
The most important difference is the legal model. A global EOR is the sole legal employer. A PEO arrangement may be co-employment, where you and the PEO share employer duties, or it may be closer to EOR, where the PEO employs your staff outright. In staffing arrangements the firm may also recruit and supervise. Those models allocate severance, Industrial Disputes Tribunal exposure and day-to-day control differently. Ask CHRS, in writing, which model applies to your team, and whose name is on the employment contract and the S01.
CHRS and global EOR platforms side by side
CHRS terms are what to confirm, since it quotes privately. Deel and Remote terms are list prices or commonly reported quote terms.
| Term | Caribbean HR Solutions | Deel / Remote |
|---|---|---|
| Service model | PEO, BPO staffing, payroll outsourcing; confirm EOR or co-employment | EOR, sole legal employer |
| Pricing | Quote-based | $599 PEPM list; Remote $699 monthly |
| Market benchmark for this model | $195-$350 PEPM regional range | n/a |
| Recruitment support | Offered as staffing; ask fees | Limited; usually separate |
| Country coverage | Jamaica-focused | Global |
| FX on funding | Ask: JMD funding or USD to a local account | Ask for spread; 1.5%-3.5% commonly reported |
| Deposit | Ask | Commonly 1-2 months gross |
| On-the-ground presence | Kingston and Montego Bay | Remote team or in-country partner |
Worked example: 25-seat CX team in Montego Bay
Twenty-five agents at JMD 150,000 a month. Global EOR at the $599 list price with a 2.5% FX spread; regional at a $250 market benchmark with an assumed 1.0% bank conversion cost. This is a benchmark, not a CHRS quote. One month deposit for both at 5% a year. FX benchmark USD 1 = JMD 158.
At 25 seats in one city, the fee gap is large enough to justify a formal tender. If recruitment is bundled, separate it: placement fees of 15%-20% of first-year salary are a different line from the monthly service fee. Model the full team with the nearshore BPO ROI calculator and test a vendor quote in the EOR fee audit.
Who each suits
A Jamaica-based PEO such as CHRS is likely to suit a nearshore operator concentrating 15 or more seats in Kingston or Montego Bay, that wants local recruitment, on-site HR support and a provider that knows the Industrial Disputes Tribunal and TAJ in daily practice. It also suits buyers who want to grow through staffing first and convert to their own entity later.
Deel or Remote is likely to suit a company with a few Jamaican hires alongside staff in many other countries; one that needs a contract signed this week; or one whose procurement prefers published pricing and a global master agreement. Their tooling, global benefits options and self-serve dashboards are mature.
Consider a second country. A CX operation that needs Spanish-language coverage often adds the Dominican Republic, where the 13th-month salary and TSS contributions of about 15.3%-15.8% change the cost picture. A Jamaica-only PEO will not cover that; a global EOR or a DR operator will. See Jamaica vs Dominican Republic for nearshore BPO.
Questions to put in writing before signing
- Is the arrangement EOR, co-employment PEO or staffing? Whose name is on the contract, the TRN registration and the S01?
- What is the monthly fee per seat, and is it fixed or a percentage of payroll?
- Are recruitment, replacement guarantees and training priced separately?
- Can we fund in JMD, or in USD to a local account, and at what disclosed rate?
- Is a deposit required, how large, and when is it returned?
- Who decides and executes terminations, and who carries ETRPA redundancy pay of two weeks per year for years one to ten?
- What are the terms to transfer staff to our own entity later, including any conversion fee?
Ask Deel and Remote the same questions, plus which entity employs in Jamaica.

FAQs
Is CaribbeanHR the same company as Caribbean HR Solutions?
No. CaribbeanHR (caribbeanhr.com) is an independent research site and is not affiliated with Caribbean HR Solutions (CHRS) or any vendor it reviews.
How much does Caribbean HR Solutions charge?
CHRS does not publish prices and quotes after a discovery call. As a market benchmark only, direct regional PEO and EOR services in the Caribbean are commonly quoted at $195 to $350 PEPM. Ask for a written per-seat quote with recruitment fees shown separately.
Is a PEO the same as an EOR in Jamaica?
Not always. An EOR is the sole legal employer, while a PEO may share employer duties with you under co-employment. Ask whose name is on the employment contract and the TAJ S01, and who carries redundancy pay.
What does a JMD 150,000 agent cost the employer in statutory contributions?
At 2026 rates the employer pays NIS JMD 4,500, NHT JMD 4,500, Education Tax JMD 5,092.50 on statutory income, and HEART JMD 4,500, a total of JMD 18,592.50 a month. The same amount applies under any provider.
When should a nearshore team move off a global EOR?
Once 10 to 15 or more seats sit in one island, the fee gap against a regional operator or your own entity usually justifies a tender. Start it about three months before your renewal date so transfer terms can be agreed.
